Passing it on... owner, kitchen retailer KSL Sudbury retires
Roger Hibbert, Owner of kitchen showroom KSL in Sudbury has announced his retirement at the end of the month, handing over the reins to son, Richard Hibbert who will take the position of Managing Director for the company.
With 32 years in the KBB industry under his belt, Roger has enjoyed his time in the business; previously working for Moben, Valor Kitchens and a small independent based in Chelmsford, before opening his own showroom back in 1989.
With considerable success and growth, Roger had seen his business quadruple in size by 2006 that resulted in relocating to larger, purpose built premises, where they are based today.
A loyal customer of British Manufacturer Mereway Kitchens, Roger has enjoyed their 15 year partnership and now passes his wealth of knowledge and experience to son Richard, who will continue to work with Mereway moving forward.
Roger has many hobbies to enjoy in his retirement, with his first project being a 3 month tour of Europe in his motor home! As a keen cyclist and traveler, Roger will most certainly be busy, and we’re sure he’ll be checking in on his son from time to time in-between trips.
Richard has worked with his father in the family business for 11 years. The company is well established in the local area, with a strong team of 7 employed staff and 8 contractors. The company is a respected member of the KBSA and actively involved in both industry and local events.
Roger commented “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working in the industry for so many years, it’s in the family blood! I’m delighted to hand over my much loved business to my son and enjoy fulfilling my ambitions knowing the company is in good hands.”
Sales and Marketing Director Graham Jones commented “KSL in Sudbury has been a long term trading partner to Mereway and we have enjoyed 15 loyal years of trading with them. We look forward to working with Richard moving forward and we wish Roger all the best in his retirement.”
